In 1982, a number of Belgian Brethren who had received the Mark degree in the Netherlands founded Belgium’s first Mark Lodge in Brussels.  Six more Lodges followed, and in 1996 Mark Grand Lodge set up a District Grand Lodge to administer the Mark and R.A.M. degrees in Belgium. There are now nine Mark Lodges in Belgium, four working in French (in Brussels, Charleroi, Arlon and Namur), three in Dutch (in Leuven, Antwerp, Koksijde and Ghent) and one in English (in Brussels).  Progress is gradual but consistent and the District is proud of its short but eventful history.

The six Royal Ark Mariner Lodges are also administered through the District Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Belgium. They each meet at the same venue as their corresponding Mark Lodges and work in the same language.
